Our Programs

Wrestling for every level.

From a child stepping onto the mat for the first time to an experienced wrestler ready for more competition, the Patriots provide a path to learn, improve and compete.

A place for every wrestler

Our program serves boys and girls in grades K–8, from first-time wrestlers learning the fundamentals to experienced athletes looking to sharpen their technique and compete.

Grades K–2

Fundamentals / Novice

A welcoming introduction to wrestling built around movement, balance, basic positions, technique and fun. Coaches emphasize confidence and comfort on the mat while preparing wrestlers for age-appropriate competition when they are ready.

Typical season: Early November through late February/early March
Practice: Typically twice per week; current times are posted each season.

Grades 3–8

Development & Competition

Progressive instruction for newer and experienced wrestlers. Athletes build core technique, conditioning, match awareness and confidence, with coaches tailoring instruction to each wrestler’s level.

Typical season: Early November through late February/early March
Practice: Multiple weeknights; current times are posted each season.

Competition pathways

King of the Mat / Jamboree

Designed for novice wrestlers with limited experience. Wrestlers are grouped by factors such as weight, age and experience, creating a lower-pressure introduction to live matches and competition.

Future Stars

Additional competitive opportunities are available as wrestlers develop. Coaches help families understand which events make sense for each athlete.

League Competition

Experienced wrestlers may participate in league duals and other events, including opportunities historically associated with the Raritan Valley and Tri-County wrestling communities.
